In 1832: Kuebler Shoe Store was founded, when Joseph Kuebler, along with his wife and two sons, came to Tiffin from Baden-Baden Germany. With an inherited ability to create quality footwear, and the will to succeed, Joseph Kuebler built a successful business.
Through five generations of the Kuebler family, the business became known all over Ohio for its commitment to quality shoes at popular prices.
In 1985 John Kuebler, the fifth-generation owner, retired and sold the business to his longtime employee, Joseph Obringer.
In January 2022: Klinton and Kymberlee Wood bought Kuebler Shoes from Joe Obringer and are the current owners.
With 190 years of footwear knowledge in this long-standing business, we have found an art in our ability to select a well-balanced inventory. With over 8,000 pairs of shoes in stock for men, women, and children, we are able to fit a large majority of the population.
Someone very close to me once said that to be a successful business owner, you must treat your job not as an occupation, but as a way of life. Getting a heart felt thank you, from someone who had previously suffered from ill fitting or poor quality shoes, is our greatest reward.
Kuebler Shoes was established in 1832 and recently celebrated 190 years of business in Tiffin and Seneca County.
